Today, I’m taking a break from sharing my life story to bring awareness to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, formerly known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD twenty years ago, when I was fifteen years old.
Color the World Orange is an annual global event held the first Monday in November, to spread awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD).
CRPS/RSD is a chronic pain disorder characterized by intense pain, which is often burning in nature. The disease can also cause changes in skin color and temperature. It can cause the affected area to swell or become sensitive to touch.
